DAL PAKWAN BY LALITA NAYAMPALLY

DAL PAKWAN



INGREDIENTS:

maida
salt
little ajwain or shahjeera
1 tbsp ghee
chana dal
jeera
hing
green chillies
kadipatta
Jaggery
Imli
Khajoor
Pudina
kothmir
adrak
onion
limbu





METHOD:

MAKE PAKWANS:

In a bowl put maida salt either litlle ajwain or shahjeera and 1 tbsp ghee heated smoking hot ( to be used as mohn)
Knead this into a stiff dough
Heat oil roll out thin puris and put slits on it so that it doesn’t fluff up. Fry till crisp

DAL:

Boil chana dal and let it cook till soft
Heat ghee put jeera, hing, green chillies, kadipatta n salt.


Sweet chutney:


Jaggery imli khajoor


Green chutney:


Pudina kothmir green chillies adrak onion jeera n limbu


For serving:

Place the puri in a plate
Put dal on it spreading evenly
Then put onion n kothmir cut fine
Put green chatni n sweet chatni according to taste.
