SWISS ROLL BY SANDHYA KINI MAYENKAR

THIS IS MOST FAMOUS BREAD ITEM AVAILABLE ALL OVER THE WORLD..!


SWISS ROLL

INGREDIENTS :

Maids 85 GMs
Baking powder 1/4 tsp
Eggs 3
Sugar 85 GMs
Vanilla essence few drops
Jam 55 GMs

METHOD: 

Prepare a large flat cake tin by greasing and lining it with butter paper 
Sift the maida with baking powder three times and keep aside. Dont touch it. break egg into a bowl. Start beating it. After ten mins of vigorous beating..it becomes foamy. Then To it add sugar one spoon at a time and keep beating hard so that the mixture becomes nice n creamy. Sift the flour again on the surface of the mixture and carefully fold it so that it forms a smooth batter. Don't over do the folding. Just as much as its required. 
Pour the batter in the cake tin and bake it at 200 degrees centigrade for 15-20 mins. 
Cut a butter paper and keep as big as the cake that is being baked. Sprinkle some sugar over it for decoration. Once the cake is done in oven.. Prick it with a lot toothpick to check if its done. If done, Then just invert the cake over the prepared butter paper. Remove the butter paper which was at the bottom of the cake tin when u were baking.



 Apply melted jam all over the cake. And roll it immediately with the help of the other butter paper. Keep it tightly rolled for at least half an hour before opening the paper. Serve once it is cool.


SWISS ROLL IS READY TO BE SERVED...!!!
