BHARLELI MIRCHI BY SANDHYA KINI MAYENKAR

BHARLELI MIRCHI

INGREDIENTS:

8-10 big jumbo size mirchis
1 cup coconut scraped

3 tbsp chanapeet or gramflour
1/4 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp roasted jeera powder
1/4 tsp haldi powder
1/2 tsp roasted white til
1 small tomato cut fine
Salt to taste
Oil for shallow frying
3 tbsp additional gramflour

METHOD:

wash n wipe chillies dry. Make a vertical cut in the chillies as in the picture and carefully remove all the seeds out and clean the inside. Do this carefully as the chilli might break. Mix coconut, gram flour, finely cut tomatoes and all powders, coriander leaves til and salt to taste. Mix evenly. Stuff this mixture carefully inside the chillies. In another plate put 2-3 tbsp gramflour add a pinch of salt and lil water to form a very very thick paste. With our fingers rub this paste on the cut of the stuffed chillies as this will lock the stuffings inside the chillies as soon as it comes in contact with heat. Shallow fry on low flame. Turning occasionally. It really tastes awesome.
