KOZHUKKATTAI BY REKHA SANAL


Kozhukkattai 
It is a popular Indian sweet dumpling made from rice flour, grated coconut and jaggery, and is similar to Modak made in other parts of India



KOZHUKKATTAI 

INGREDIENTS:

Rice flour
Jaggery
Elaichi powder
Coconut

METHOD:

FILLING: mix jaggery, coconut and elaichi, because the kozhukkatta will break and juice will come out. you need to melt jaggery, sieve and remove impurities and again put in kadai and add coconut and elaichi powder and make it a little dry. after cooling u can stuff the kozhukkattai

Mix rice flour and water prepare a dough…
make a ball of rice flour keep in your palm and press and make like a thick roti, that of a fist size, fill in with jaggery, coconut, elaichi powder mix and roll it back to ball, just like u stuff for aloo paratha n cook in idli maker for 15-20mins..

Easy yummy sweet is ready to be served...
