GAJAR KA HALWA BY RETHISH PRABHU

THIS DISH IS REALLY DELICIOUS AS IT HAS BEEN COOKED IN OLD TRADITIONAL WAY..YOU CAN DO IT ON ANY GAS STOVE.


GAJAR KA HALWA

INGREDIENTS :

2 kg of carrots, 
1 kg of sweet mava, 
1 cup sugar, 
chopped kaju, almonds, raisins, 
1 tsp of cardamom powder. 


METHOD :

Wash, clean n tap dry the carrots, grate all the carrots. Heat a heavy bottom vessel . Add the grated carrots.

 Dry roast till the water evaporates. Then add sugar , I added less sugar as mava was very sweet, adjust accordingly. Then water will come from carrots. Cook till done. 

Then add chopped fry fruits, mava n some ghee. Roast further till we get a dry consistency. In this way, we can store it. Then add cardamom powder n few spoons of ghee. Remove from flame n store in a clean dry container. Enjoy it hot or cold with ice cream.
