CHITRAN BY NANDINI PAI


INGREDIENTS :

2 cups rice; for masala 1 big raw mango(peeled & grated); 1cup grated coconut;3green 

chilies;1tsp mustard seeds;1tsp coriander powder; 1/2 tsp jeera;salt to taste; for seasoning 

1tsp mustard; 1tsp chana dal;1/4cup peanuts;curry leaves; 1/2tsp turmeric powder;

 2 tsp oil;


METHOD : 

cook rice with enough water,when 70%done, drain it and spread in a wide tray,allow to 

cool. in a kadai heat oil, add the seasoning ingredients & ground masala & sautĂ© till raw 

smell goes; allow to cool. mix cooked rice with your hand. 

now raw mango chitraana is ready.
